The Edelman auger is typically designed to allow for a minimum of friction during penetration into the soil and the extraction of the auger from the soil. This design means less physical effort on the part of the user. If you want to achieve optimal results, you should always choose your auger type according to the soil type in question.
This auger’s blades are slightly broader and rounder than those of the clay type. They are so to allow the auger to hold moderately cohesive soils. Cohesive soils can easily be removed. The bit is lengthened, allowing augering in stiffer soils.
The T- handle auger is 1.25 metres long. Available in diameters from 4 to 7 centimeters..
This steel locking sleeve is used for locking the bayonet connections together on Eijelkamp auger handles and extensions.
Standard handle with bayonet connection. The handle measures 60cm and is T- shaped, Manufactured from high grade non toxic hardened steel. The handle is used with Eijkelkamp extension rods and auger bottoms. Each handle comes with one locking sleeve..
These extension rods are used with Eijkelkamp auger heads and T-handles. They can be connected together for deep sampling. Each extension rod is 100 cm long and has bayonet connections. Each extension comes with one locking sleeve.

Munsell have revised their color book, adding new color charts while keeping the old familiar ones. Now included are a 10Y and 5GY soil chart for glauconite soils, a 5R soil chart for Australia and Southeast Asia, and a 7.5R soil chart for tropical and semi-tropical soils.A high value, low chroma “white” page shows half steps from 8.5 to 9.5 in ...
The design of this auger is ideal for use in hard soils mixed with fine gravel above and below ground water level. The sharp points of the auger bit point at downward angles, allowing the auger to slice through tough soil. Use with Eijkelkamp T-handles and extension rods with bayonet connection.
This is a meter that measures the moisture and PH of the soil. Easily fits in a pocket and prevents over and under watering. No batteries required!
The blades of this auger are slightly broader and rounder than those of the clay type, permitting a good hold of moderately cohesive soils, while cohesive soils can easily be removed. The bit is elongated allowing easy augering in stiffer soil.

Eijkelkamp Stony Soil Auger Bit is for soils with high amounts of gravel. Its body consists of a heavy steel strip, vaulted and double bent by forging. The auger’s cutting bits are bent outwards, creating a slightly wider than the average hole. Are you an Environmental Scientist working in coarse gravel soils When the Riverside Auger is not givi...
JMC offers environmental scientists a variety of sampling tubes. Each one features a hardened self-sharpening tip, allowing for great looking cores. Their tips also outlast common replaceable tips, by a ratio of eight-to-one! Also, all the metal parts are nickel-plated for protection.
We have three kinds of tubes that take samples less than an i...
The JMC Conventional Handle works best when shallow sampling in soft soils. Though it is high-strength nickel-plated steel, this handle should not be used with a mallet. If sampling hard soils, consider our JMC T-Handle. The Conventional Handle will fit most JMC Sampling Tubes.
Note: While adding extensions to this handle is possible, we recomm...
